The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Katsina State Command, has joined countries around the world in celebrating the 2025 Customer Service Week, reaffirming its commitment to delivering quality and transparent service to the public.
Speaking during an interview with Katsina Times at his office in Katsina on Tuesday, 7th October 2025, the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Maxwell Kaltingo Lede, said the celebration is a global event dedicated to appreciating service providers and recognising the importance of those who contribute to improving service delivery.
“Servicom represents an agreement between the government and the people, ensuring that every citizen has the right to quality service from public institutions. It promotes service delivery built on integrity and care,” Commander Lede explained.
He highlighted that the FRSC remains one of the key agencies committed to saving lives and property through road safety awareness and enforcement of traffic regulations.
“Our responsibilities go beyond enforcing road laws. We also provide essential services such as driver’s licences and vehicle registration. In addition, we reach out to the public through worship centres, markets, and radio stations to promote road safety awareness,” he said.
According to him, activities marking the week began on Monday with a roadshow across Katsina city to sensitise residents on the importance of customer service and to showcase FRSC’s commitment to Servicom principles.
This year’s theme, “Mission Possible,” he noted, underscores that any goal is achievable through professionalism, dedication, and compassion for the people.
“To provide quality service, one must be knowledgeable, patient, resilient, and empathetic. These are the pillars of successful service delivery,” Commander Lede added.
He further disclosed that the command plans to honour officers and stakeholders who have demonstrated excellence and dedication in service to the public during the celebration.
Additionally, he urged members of the public to utilise the FRSC Mobile App to access information, give feedback, and lodge complaints or commendations directly to the corps.
“The FRSC is always ready to listen to public feedback to improve our operations. We are all partners in progress, and it is our shared responsibility to deliver and receive quality service,” Corps Commander Maxwell Kaltingo Lede concluded.
